About the Green Participatory Budgeting

Actions in the GPB

Projects can be submitted to the Green Participatory Budget that:

  • Fall within the scope of the tasks of the Gmina Stalowa Wola and relate to at least one thematic area from the catalog specified below:

  1. Planting and Maintenance of Vegetation in Urban Green Spaces, including:

    • Planting vegetation in park areas, green belts, squares, residential urban areas, and street greenery,

    • Planting new vegetation or supplementing existing vegetation in urban green spaces,

    • Establishing and maintaining flowering meadows and beds with insect-friendly plants in urban areas,

    • Maintenance of vegetation and conservation of existing tree stands in urban areas, including natural monuments;

  2. New Green Spaces in Urban Areas, including:

    • Public spaces shaped by greenery,

    • Costs for equipment for play and recreation and small architectural elements are allowed, provided that the planned expenses primarily cover increasing greenery to combat climate change;

  3. Construction of Themed Gardens in Urban Areas, such as:

    • Community gardens,

    • Sensory gardens,

    • Micro-retention objects – rain gardens, retention basins, retention greenery that manages rainwater from nearby paved surfaces, established with a dominant presence of vegetation in soil or containers, with their primary function being water infiltration into the ground;

  4. Renovation and Modernization of Existing Urban Green Spaces, including actions to improve the condition of existing park, green belt, square, street greenery, and residential greenery through the renovation of existing greenery, planting supplements, localized repair of pathways and squares, and renovation, conservation, or replacement of old small architectural elements and their supplementation;

  5. Ecological Actions, including educational, cultural, informational activities, as well as infrastructure or investment activities in the field of ecology and adaptation to climate change;

    • Which can be implemented within the budget year;

    • Whose implementation cost ranges from PLN 10,000 to PLN 100,000;

    • Which residents of Gmina Stalowa Wola will be able to use free of charge;

    • Indicating recruitment rules, including information on recruitment, start and end dates, and selection criteria – in cases where the project is directed at a limited group of recipients;

    • Which will be located on properties (land, buildings, premises, etc.) for which Gmina Stalowa Wola has legal title for disposal.

NOTE - Projects that cannot be submitted to the Green Participatory Budget:

  • Propose the execution of only project documentation;

  • Propose the execution of one of the elements (phases) of the task, which in subsequent years will require further elements (phases) to be completed;

  • Are contrary to strategic/programming documents for the development of Gmina Stalowa Wola;

  • Envision using material specified by the author in the sense of the Act of February 4, 1994 on Copyright and Related Rights (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 2509, as amended), unless the project involves transferring to Gmina Stalowa Wola the economic copyright or related rights, and the agreement in this regard is concluded by the day before the publication of the project evaluation results on the Digital Participation Platform;

  • Include specifying a potential contractor, the method of their selection, or trademarks;

  • Contain content commonly regarded as obscene, offensive, vulgar, or that may be perceived as socially unacceptable.
