About the Green Participatory Budgeting

Voting in the GPB

Voting on projects that have been approved for voting takes place electronically via the Digital Participation Platform. You can vote within the timeframe specified in the schedule, casting your vote for the projects of your choice that are listed in the VOTING section.

Voting is done by selecting any number of projects from the list, with the total cost of the selected projects not exceeding the amount of PLN 300,000 allocated for the implementation of projects in 2025 as part of the 1st edition of the Green Civic Budget.

Only residents of Stalowa Wola are eligible to vote. Each project selected from the list receives one vote.

The electronic voting card must include at least the following information: first name, last name, residential address, PESEL number, phone number, and email address.

Each eligible voter can vote only once. Information about how individuals voted is not published. Only the number of votes received by each project will be made public.

IMPORTANT: The vote of a minor must be confirmed by a parent or legal guardian by providing their details, including at least their first name, last name, phone number, and email address, followed by an electronic confirmation of the vote cast by the minor.

The order of projects on the voting lists is determined by a random draw automatically conducted by the Digital Participation Platform.

After the voting period ends, each project will be assigned the number of valid votes received, meaning votes that:

  • Were cast by an eligible voter,

  • Were cast within the voting period specified in the schedule,

  • Were cast on an electronic voting card that selected at least one project and included all required data,

  • Were cast on an electronic voting card where the total value of selected projects does not exceed PLN 300,000.

Based on the valid votes, a list of projects will be created, ordered by the number of votes received. Projects with the highest number of votes will be selected for implementation within the Green Civic Budget until the total amount allocated for project implementation is exhausted, i.e., PLN 300,000. If the remaining funds are insufficient for the next project on the list, the project in the next position will be selected if its implementation cost fits within the remaining budget.

IMPORTANT:

If multiple projects receive the same number of votes and the remaining budget does not allow for all of them to be implemented, the projects will be selected through a random draw automatically conducted by the Digital Participation Platform.

If several selected projects are related to the same location and it is not possible to implement them all simultaneously, the project with the highest position on the list (having the most valid votes) will be selected, or the project chosen through a random draw if the projects have the same number of valid votes.

The voting results, including information on selected projects, will be published within 5 days from the end of the voting period on:

Information about the selected project will be sent to the author via email or phone within 5 calendar days from the announcement of the voting results on the Digital Participation Platform.
